Al Fakhoora hosted its second Dynamic Futures program Graduation ceremony on February 24th for 76 graduates, of which 69 were undergraduates from local universities, and seven were International Masters graduates from the UK.

The Dynamic Futures program has given, and continues to give, students the opportunity to receive high quality education in addition to training in leadership and communication skills.   The organization also has helped in the rebuilding of educational institutions, and in supporting and providing the students’ families with grants to improve their economic situations; this falls under a unique poverty reduction model that focuses on the family as a single unit.

More than 600 people attended the graduation held at the Al Shalihat Resort in Gaza city; students along with their families, education policy makers, and representatives of international and local organizations, academics and community figures, as well as a few people from several media outlets.

The event included a narration of the Al Fakhoora anthem that was written by one of the scholarship recipients, Asma Masoud, in addition to a Palestinian Folklore show, and a distribution of certificates of acknowledgements for completing the Al Fakhoora scholarship program, 18 of which received distinction and honors from their universities.

“These are important and remarkable moments that summarize the journey with Al Fakhoora- an interesting journey that we have learnt so much from,” expressed Reem Mater, a Communication Engineering graduate.

In 2014, Education Above All Foundation and Al Fakhoora signed the second phase of the program that aims to enroll another 700 students during the next six years.
