Access to Finance for Income Generation

The Digital Financial Inclusion for Youth Economic Empowerment (Pasio) project, led by Gojo Inc. in partnership with Silatech, was launched in late 2022 with the goal of leveraging digital solutions to enhance access to finance for income generation for 89,600 young men and women, aged 18 to 35 across Cambodia, India, and Sri Lanka. This digital initiative aims to empower youth to start, sustain, or expand their income-generating activities, thereby fostering economic growth and resilience within these regions.

As of 2023, the project has reached 7,915 youth across the three countries with financial support directed for income generation. These loans enable youth to launch new businesses, sustain existing ventures, or expand their operations, contributing to economic growth and diversification. These loans also play a pivotal role in promoting financial inclusion among youth, many of whom face barriers in accessing traditional lending channels. By offering tailored financial solutions, the project helps break down these barriers and creates pathways for economic advancement and job creation.
