EAA condemns discrimination against Afghan female students and calls for all students to be allowed to study at every level in Afghanistan
Education Above All Foundation (EAA) deplores the recent decision to ban all girls and women from attending schools and universities in Afghanistan, and calls for all students in Afghanistan to be given equal access to education at every level, regardless of their gender. Education is a human right that states must safeguard for all their citizens without discriminaton. No party should deprive a person form the right to education, and states, civil society, communities and parents must work together to ensure that children and young people have access to safe, quality primary, secondary and higher education.
EAA is currently helping 250 Afghan students, half of them women, restart their studies after they were forced to leave Afghanistan last year. Through the Qatar Scholarship for Afghan Refugee Project, recently displaced Afghans can now continue their post-secondary education, thereby increasing their chances of building stable and prosperous futures for themselves and their families.

تستنكر مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع القرار الأخير بتعليق دراسة الطالبات في المدارس والجامعات في أفغانستان، وتدعو إلى منح جميع الطلاب في أفغانستان فرصًا متساوية في الحصول على التعليم على جميع المستويات، بغض النظر عن جنسهم، حيث يعَد التعليم حق من حقوق الإنسان يجب على الدول حمايته لجميع مواطنيها دون تمييز. ولا ينبغي لأي طرف أن يحرم أي شخص من حقه في التعليم، ويجب على الدول والمجتمع المدني والمجتمعات المحلية والآباء العمل معا لضمان حصول جميع الأطفال والشباب على تعليم ابتدائي وثانوي وعالي آمن وجيد.
تمنح مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع بدعم من صندوق قطر للتنمية حاليًا 250 طالبًا أفغانيًا، نصفهم من النساء، على استئناف دراستهم بعد أن أجبروا على مغادرة أفغانستان العام الماضي، ومن خلال مشروع قطر للمنح الدراسية للطلاب الأفغان، يمكن للأفغان النازحين مؤخرًا مواصلة تعليمهم بعد المرحلة الثانوية، وبالتالي زيادة فرصهم في بناء مستقبل مستقر ومزدهر لأنفسهم ولأسرهم
