Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) is a national research institute affiliated to Hamad Bin Khalifa University, established by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private nonprofit organization supporting the transformation of Qatar's economy into a knowledge-based economy. QCRI conducts multidisciplinary and world-class computing research in line with the needs of Qatar, the Arab region and the world. The Institute conducts advanced research in areas such as Arabic language techniques, social computing, data analytics and Cybersecurity. This research is in line with Qatar's National Research Strategy and supports the strategic priorities set out in the Qatar National Vision 2030. For more information, please visit the Institute's website: www.qcri.org.qa QCRI and EAA are collaborating in areas related to strengthening of the protection of education in times of insecurity and conflict, including: • Sharing academic and policy expertise and undertaking consultations on current issues of the protection of quality education, with a particular focus on quality education during insecurity and conflict • Conducting research on topics of mutual interest, including the protection of education related data in Arabic • Organizing conferences, symposia, forums, workshops and training courses that bring together academic institutions, policy networks, academic researchers and students, to address the current challenges regarding the protection of education, with a particular focus on quality education during insecurity and conflict • Working together on outreach impact activities, including production of publications or arranging joint media campaigns; • Exchanging invitations to events of mutual interest. • Implementing academic, thought leadership, public awareness and policy projects in selected countries with mutual technical and expertise support
